Anger

In Anger situations when we receive triggers either from outside or our own thoughts,  this information goes through our senses to brain.

The brain also has two pathways,  One is higher pathway directly goes to  Prefrontal Cortex where the thought is

analysed.

We look for alternative thoughts, functional behaviour. We don't get triggered in situations.  We behave constructively according to the situation,

thoughts are automatically generated if we will slow  down and give a space between stimulus and response  that thought will go to prefrontal cortex and we will  respond to the situation.

If the stimulus goes into lower pathways, It will directly go to lower regions which is Amygdala and Hippocampus.

Amygdala reacts it without consulting higher regions. If the thought will directly go to Amygdala  then it will signal to pituitary gland, from there  message will go to adrenal gland from here two  hormones are released :

1.Adrenaline Hormone

2.Cortesol Hormone

These hormones create havoc inside us. We come into Fight and Flight mode. It creates physical arousal within seconds. We find the situation very urgent it is do or die situation. Pre Frontal cortex gets blocked because of cortisol adrenaline so the information system becomes Dull.

FOUR COMPONENTS OF ANGER:

Trigger situation or  thought

Physical reaction  Sweating, High blood  pressure, heart rate  increase, shaking legs and  hands, pupils dilate

Behaviour reaction

Shouting, yelling, harm  ourselves, harm others

Cognitive Reaction

How can he/she do like  this, I cannot tolerate this

WHEN WE KNOW ANGER IS NOT HELPFUL, THEN WHY DO WE GET ANGRY?

Never repress your  anger, as research tells  us when we hold  ourselves back and  delay reactions it helps  us.

Second belief is we  should be calm at that  time.

How to overcome anger situation:

Recognize your anger situation: If you are aware of the situation when you get angry, it will be easy for you to control it.
